Early Influences

I have had a fascination for healing and growth since the early ‘70’s. At the birth of the self-help “movement,” I was in a re-parenting group that was modeled after Jacqui Lee Schiff’s work and included Transactional Analysis as a framework. It was led by Caroline and Scott Mason to whom I am very grateful. I attended many other workshops and seminars. As a young man I was very curious about psychic phenomena and in school I began developing my intuitive abilities as I noticed for example, when what people were saying did not match my perception of the energy coming from them.

Massage and bodywork followed starting in 1977. I practiced with friends and their friends in between my musical activities and while learning many new modalities began to practice professionally.

Also in 1977 I began to attend and to play music for Emilie Conrad’s Continuum Movement studio. It was a rich exploration of the undulating wave of consciousness through cellular movement. My understanding of the body and its healing abilities was deeply enhanced by Emilie and her work. I was honored to collaborate from the area of sound and music. Much of what I learned there later informed my practice of Tantra and healing.

Two other important teachers in my life were/are: Rev William Rainen and Stephen Levine. William has been a mentor for me in the psychic arts and through whom I’ve had many discussions with the Grand Spirit Dr. Peebles. I’ve learned a great deal from William and Dr. Peebles and began to channel Dr. Peebles myself in 1997. Stephen Levine was a guide for me in meditation, healing and in how to be with those who were dying.

Healing Sexual Energy

While doing bodywork my intuitive awareness was such that when I would touch someone I knew what was happening with their sexual energy. It came through loud and clear. I did not speak of this awareness as it was not within the agreement of the sessions. The topic did come up with friends however, and in a similar fashion to how I began bodywork I explored how to create space for the sexual energy or life-force to move through the former limitations of pain, shame, and abuse.

Given the depth of my exploration into sexual energy it was inevitable that I would be attracted to the Tantric path to awakening. I am grateful to Osho, Margo Anand, Charles and Caroline Muir, Lorelei, Jaiia and many authors for sharing their experience and knowledge. As I was beginning to “channel” I accessed a well of universal information from Spirit about sexual energy, consciousness, and ways to share this in our Western culture.

Much of this channeled information formed the basis of the teachings of The Center for Divine Passion, founded by Anna (Satya) Harvey and myself in 1994. It was a Center devoted to teaching Tantric awareness and practice in a way that can be realized and integrated into everyday life. Sacred sexuality, breathing, movement, communication, meditation, loving kindness, celebration, and laughter have been the life-force of the many groups we’ve taught.

I continue to teach and offer private sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the Grass Valley Area of California.
