The Time Is NOW. Why Wait?

After working and playing in the field of Sacred Sexuality for over 20 years, one thing has become very clear: Your sex life is not a problem. Here it is again: It’s not a problem. It’s a situation. When you find yourself thinking about the struggle you’re having and how badly you were treated or how you don’t feel heard or that you’re misunderstood, notice what you’re feeling. Does that feel good? Let that feeling be your guide to remind you that your thinking is in the can’t-have-hard-done-by-don’t-deserve-blaming-it’s-hopeless column. When you’re remembering the pain of your last relationship you’re focusing upon loss or what you don’t have, or the good things you may never have again. If you ask the question, “Why can’t I have an orgasm?” or “Why can’t I have an erection?” etc., you’ve literally set your receiver to why you can’t have an orgasm or an erection, and have aligned yourself to the vibration of not having one. Your past reminds you of many experiences that reinforce those thoughts and beliefs as “true”.

You probably have a story about your relationships or your sexuality in general. You might not even be aware of it. Notice when you think of these things, if you’ve had those thoughts before. Uh huh, thought so. Your story might include something like, “Where I want to be feels like a long way from where I am and it’s going to take a long time and a lot of effort and struggle to get there”. It’s not necessary. And again, you’d be focusing on what you don’t want and energizing it. We’re so particular about what we eat or wear or what car we’re driving, but it seems we’re not so particular about what thoughts we’re holding onto.

As long as you’re turning just about everything into a story anyway, how about getting your hands on the controls and deliberately changing the story to one that guides you to more and more positive experiences? Away from being a victim at the mercy of “external forces beyond my control” and toward being the conscious creator. You know what you don’t want, now look at what it is that you really do want. “Even though in this moment I know what I don’t want, I’m grateful for that awareness because I can now shift my attention to what I do want and to feeling better. I know that little by little, I can begin to enjoy something in each moment and that the more I enjoy the little things, the law of attraction brings me even more to enjoy. I know that others have successfully moved from struggle to freedom and that lets me know that I can do it, too. Even though it may seem like what I really want is a long way off, I know that as I stay focused on what I want, and acknowledge the good feelings I do have, that the universe brings me closer.

The key to having what you want is to imagine how it feels to have it right now. What we want always includes how we want to feel when we have it. Your mind might say, “Yeah, well that’s all nice and rosy and everything but I’m in the real world, buddy, and it ain’t happening in my world!” You’ve now left the vibration of what you want and have moved back into “the real world” and “how it really is”. That’s the story. If you feel bad, you know that you’ve closed the window to the positive flow of the universe. If you feel good, you’ve opened it. So meditate for a moment or longer and feel how good it is to have what it is that you most want. You’re laughing because it feels so easy! And what a relief it is to finally be where you want to be! And yes, the mind at some point will distract you from that and that’s OK. Don’t berate yourself for that, ever. Do something else and then come back to it and hold that good feeling for as long as it’s pure. That may be only a few seconds at a time but at the end of the day, those seconds add up and each time you do that you are setting a powerful force in motion toward bringing you what you want. You don’t have to figure out how that is going to happen. That is not your job. Your job now is to stay open to receiving it. We always get what we focus on if it is within the realm of our acceptance.

Feel that you have it NOW. Then have faith, and that is trusting that the universe and your divine Inner-Being is lovingly speeding these gifts to you. Little by little you will begin to notice the positive evidence.

The time is NOW. Why wait?
